Overview

As an Automation Senior Engineer, you are responsible for designing and implementing test automation for Quest IT business applications. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect priorities and open defect numbers, critical issues, showstoppers).

This is a Software Dev Sr. Advisor role.

Responsibilities

QA Automation Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Create detailed test plans and test cases for the assigned projects.
  • Create detailed test suites for automation and monitor the results.
  • Planning and coordinating testing activities.
  • Report bugs in a timely matter of defects round during test executions.
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools if needed.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs on different tools like JIRA, Test Director, Test Rails, etc.
  • Perform Regression testing cycles.
  • Work as liaison with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent technical Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years of experience as a Developer or Automation Engineer.
  • Experience with a variety of testing techniques such as UI Testing, Automated Testing, Test Driven Strategies, debugging, white box testing, black box testing, etc.
  • Basic to intermediate experience with coding using Python, Javascript, etc.
  • Experience with software QA testing tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce platform.
  • Experience in automation tools CD/CI: Jenkins, Robot Framework as Acceptance testing framework, Selenium, SFDX CLI, Cucumber, etc.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Great interpersonal, communication skills and team player.
