    We are seeking a Presales Solution Consultant to support Quest Software’s Information Management Solutions


    In this role you will be working in partnership with the software sales teams in support of sales opportunities. We are looking for an individual with experience in consulting, presales and enterprise solution architecture of Information Management and a proven record of accomplishment of supporting solution sales.


    Articulate Technical Value of Quest Solutions

    Articulates the technical and business value of Quest solutions, recommends, coordinates and delivers the appropriate technical presales services including value discovery, presentations, workshops, demonstrations, solution documentation and proof of concepts to drive technical and business value of a proposed solution.


    • Attain/Maintain Level 1 Certification on Quest Portfolio.
    • Attain/Maintain Level 2 Certification on assigned BU Solutions
    • Attain Level 3 Certification in 1 or 2 assigned BU products. Become SME for assigned region.
    • Provides regular product updates of Quest Solutions and currency of product roadmaps.



    Supporting Sales

    Works effectively with assigned members of the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies for assigned territories and opportunities. Ability to manage objections, speak with authority and build technical User/Value cases. Ability to handover to the Professional Services team where necessary.


    Technical Industry Platform Knowledge

    Keeps abreast of technical industry platform knowledge and the competitive landscape, articulates how that relates to the challenges and opportunities within the business (customer) community and the industry trends evident.


    Customer Engagement

    Provides effective Customer Engagement by proactively maintaining technical relationships for key account in assigned region including regular product updates and roadmap sessions. Proactively ensures customer success and their retention within the Quest base.


    Supporting Partner Marketing, PSO Teams

    Support the Quest eco system and value chain by openly collaborating with the Partner community, Marketing programs, Professional Services Support, Sales Operations and Renewals.

    Proven ability in conflict management and the tools of persuasion.



    • 5+ years of experience with Database and Application technologies.
    • Subject Matter Expert in Database Technologies (SQL Server, Oracle)
    • Expert level experience with Application and Systems technologies
    • Advanced troubleshooting techniques within database environments.



    • 5+ years of experience in related field (Database Administrator, Senior System Administrator or similar IT related job function).
    • Substantial knowledge of Database Technologies (PostgreSQL, DB2, MySQL, Casandra, SAP ASE)
    • Substantial knowledge of Storage and Virtualization Technologies.
    • Substantial experience in Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems.
    • Substantial experience in database query languages.
    • Must have excellent reasoning and technical troubleshooting skills.
    • Windows and Unix Scripting (VB, Perl, shell)
