  • Overview

    As an IT Business Process Analyst, you will join Quest’s team of IT professionals responsible for partnering and collaborating with our internal business constituents to design, develop and improve internal processes and methodologies, facilitate process analysis, process mapping/framework, needs analysis, requirements elicitation, design, development and implementation of process improvements, and enterprise IT solutions that will empower Quest for success.

     

    Strong listening, verbal and writing skills will allow you to quickly understand complex business processes, requirements, filter/organize/prioritize extraneous and relevant content, then clearly and concisely articulate requirements through published documentation and oral presentations.

     

    Roles that this position will work closely with include the following: 

    • Business Stakeholders – develop close, trusting and open relationships with key business stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of business pains, business objectives, requirements, and processes
    • IT Project Management Team – work very closely with the PMs who have responsibility for managing implementation projects
    • IT Development & QA Teams – work closely with developers, development managers, testers and test managers when required

    Responsibilities

    -Analyze, define, and implement global and cross-functional business system and process requirements to create efficiency and productivity gains in various Quest Business Units and operational areas

    -Lead and facilitate process analysis and redesign workshops

    -Analyze, develop, and construct business processes, data structures, and new business architecture

    -Define, map, transform, and document as-is and to-be processes and provide a confirmation of the requirements delivered by the SMEs, as well as provide sufficient detail for internal software developers to create the technical solution. This includes creating highly detailed Business Process Requirements and Software Requirements documents, process flow diagrams, data and program flowcharts, etc.

    Participate in project management activities including updating project plans and risk assessments

    -Assist in and support the design, development, configuration, testing, and deployment of business system and process requirements

    -Create test plans and test scripts, and work with QA resources to execute test scripts and track issues and resolutions

    -Educate business users responsible for managing and operating business processes

    -Help to define change management required as a result of system and/or process change

    -Prepare, document and deliver Release Notes for new technology releases

    -Provide production support for assigned areas, including assessment and triage of support cases, business review and work prioritization coordination, and support case trend reporting and analysis

    -Monitor, measure, and review trends to ensure that the output of processes are achieving the desired results and that services are meeting agreed upon service levels

    -Provide feedback on process performance, and conduct maturity assessments against the process activities to highlight areas of improvement or concerns

    Qualifications

    -4-year college degree or equivalent relevant experience

    -5 + years of experience as a Business Process Analyst, focused on helping business stakeholders analyze process issues, as well as designing, testing and deploying new processes; experience as Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst with similar process-centric background will also be considered

    -Strong analytical skills and experience with enterprise-level business process analysis and design

    -Driving desire to help improve business operations, efficiency and outcomes

    -Deep knowledge and experience with enterprise-level business systems such as CRM, Order Management, Financials, Incentive Comp, etc.

    -Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal communication, and business analysis skills

    -Ability to prioritize and demonstrate an organized approach to delivering work across multiple projects simultaneously

    -Experience in and understanding of different software development life cycles (waterfall, agile) and contemporary software quality assurance processes

    -Solid understanding of technical application concepts such as system integration, enterprise services, data migration, etc.

    -High proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel

     

    Preferences

    -Software industry experience

    -Prior M&A experience

    -Experience working with global and distributed/remote teams

    -Basic working knowledge of middleware

    -SalesForce com experience

    -Oracle Financials and BI Publisher experience

    -Channel or multi-tier distribution go-to-market experience
