  • Overview

    Do you enjoy working in an entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-focused and community oriented?  As a Business Development Representative (BDR) you will be an important member of the Marketing organization, playing a critical role in qualifying leads, profiling customers and providing input on which Marketing campaigns generate the best leads. Working in collaboration with your peers, marketing, and account managers, your primary objective is to identify and create qualified opportunities to build pipeline with highly convertible opportunities for sales. Quite often you will be the customer’s very first introduction to the Quest experience!

    Responsibilities

    • Contact qualified leads, identify customer needs and requirements, and set up appointments for sales executives
    • Build pipeline, schedule concrete next steps with the customer, territory account manager, and any appropriate technical resources
    • Work with leads provided by all or some of the following sources: marketing programs, events, website downloads, tradeshows, lists, phone and email
    • Communicate product value proposition by actively creating new opportunities, handling objections, and progressing a lead to a qualified opportunity
    • Conduct a needs analysis and determine prospects pain points to determine how the solution will speak to those needs
    • Gain, maintain, present and articulate knowledge of Quest products, competitive products and industry trends
    • Achieve assigned personal and team goals; regular review of key performance metrics with management to identify ways to increase resultsIdentify and engage with key decision makers and be able to professionally articulate value proposition
    • Efficiently and effectively manage data in Salesforce.com, ensuring all communications are logged, and information is accurate
    • Keep detailed and accurate notes of all sales-related activities in Salesforce.com and schedule follow up activities, as needed

    Qualifications

    • 2+years of outbound B2B sales experience OR a combination of work experience and education
    • Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed determined sales and activity quotas
    • Extremely detail oriented and strong time management and prioritization skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to successfully engage with clients by phone
    • Flexible, reliable, results-oriented and self-motivated
    • Target orientated, ambitious, creative, customer focused
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Strong computer and internet skills
    • 2+ years of experience using a CRM/Customer Relationship Management tool (ie Salesforce)

     

    Preferences:

    • Software sales experience desired
    • 2+years of successful quota-carrying sales experience
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • Sales experience within the IT or technology sector
