  • Overview

    Are you a Build Master / Release Engineer that has experience with both on premise builds as well as cloud based builds in a CI/CD environment? We are looking for such a person to work in a new security initiative at Quest.  This new group will be part of a gated check-in and build process for a number of products in Quest.  To excel at this position, you have very good experience with automated build environments, as they will need to establish a controlled build environment.  As many parts of a build system require some coding, you will also be somewhat knowledgeable in automating the steps of the build process through some sort of scripting language.

    ·         Prepare mirrored build systems to allow isolated build environments for a number of products in Quest.

    ·         Work with product teams to keep current all build environments

    ·         Provide effective communication back to product teams on build failures or problems.

    ·         Document all environments in a concise and effective manner

    ·         Building any additional automation to improve the overall process on a daily basis.


    Must haves:

    • 3+ years of experience leading the implementation and operations of automated software build and deploy or Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environment
    • Strong experience with build automation (such as VisualBuild), orchestration and dependency management tools such as VSTS and NuGet
    • Strong experience with the following: source control databases Git and Team Foundation Services.
    • Experience with Microsoft stack development tools (e.g. Microsoft Visual Studio)
    • Experience with the full range of tools, test development and processes, such as for: C# Test, MS Test Runner, etc.
    • Experience with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins.
    • Proficient with source code management systems (GIT, TFS )
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

    Nice to haves:

    • Experience with non-Windows environments, such as Solaris Sparc, IBM Aix and HP-UX.
    • Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell.
    • Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps
    • Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
