The Revenue Accounting department is responsible for reviewing customer contracts for proper revenue accounting treatment, making recommendations on revenue recognition strategies, determining treatment of multi-element deliverables and general accounting functions such as journal entries, month-end close, revenue allocations and monthly/quarterly audits. Quest Software is implementing ASC 606 on February 1, 2019. The role will be assist with the implementation through testing transactions for the restatement.
The Revenue Accountant will be responsible for ensuring revenue recognition compliance with U.S. GAAP. The Revenue Accountant will review and post revenue and cost transactions based on current ASC 605 and ASC 985 guidance as well as ASC 606 guidance post February 1, 2019. The Revenue Accountant will be responsible for certain close activities each month including deal reviews, account reconciliations, close journal entries, and reporting. Additional responsibilities to include, but not limited to the following.
