  • Overview

    This position serves as the company’s Facility Security Officer (FSO)/Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) and primary adviser to the Government Security Committee (GSC) of company’s Board of Directors to ensure compliance with industrial security. Accountable for compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and all applicable directives. Administer routine aspects of the DOD, Intelligence and other industrial security programs.


    • Execute and monitor the industrial security practices and procedures in accordance with U.S. Government security policies and directives.
    • Ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures including personnel, physical and security systems.
    • Establish and maintain the Insider Threat Program as the senior official.
    • Provide guidance and instructions to all employees to ensure any event, circumstance, or act that could be considered a breach of security is reported immediately.
    • Conduct security awareness training, and applicable briefings and debriefings.
    • Prepare, issue and maintain Classified Contract Security Specifications (DD-254s).
    • Prepare visit authorization letters (VALs).
    • Coordinate with customer security representatives to process security clearance requirements.
    • Administer JPAS activity including processing clearances and visit requests.
    • Evaluates the company’s security posture and recommends changes where necessary.


    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience of minimum of five years’ in security management; preference for candidates with experience as FSO in FOCI environments.
    • U.S. citizenship and minimum active TS/SCI Clearance.
    • Completion of FSO Non-Possessing or Possessing curriculum.
    • Must possess practical knowledge of and experience with (NISS), JPAS, e-QIP, ISFD, SWFT and ACCS and an in-depth knowledge of the NISPOM.
    • Working knowledge of the International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) for implementing export compliance policies.
    • Prefer Industrial Security Professional (ISP) or Security Professional Fundamentals Certification (SPFC).
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office365 Suite products.
    • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Highly organized, team-oriented, enthusiastic, independent thinker, and collaborative.
