  • Overview

    As a Quest Solutions Consultant you will drive high priority customer initiatives in Active Directory and messaging migrations. Additionally, you will leverage best practices to help customers secure, administer, and manage their Microsoft Infrastructure. You will work with your assigned customers providing end-to-end technical guidance and expertise on the Quest Microsoft Platform Management suite of products and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of successful complex engagements in enterprise-level environments. This full-time role (not a contract position) will be based on site at the SSA offices in MD.


    -Provides implementation and execution of defined plans to successfully accomplish the customer’s desired objectives

    -Works with the Architect and Project Manager to ensure appropriate information is communicated to the customer

    -Becomes a subject matter expert on all related Quest software products

    -Provides technical detail to the Project Manager for inclusion into the project plan and status reports.

    -Provides technical expertise pertaining to delivery of services to assist in the sales cycle

    -Mentors other consultants on both technical and soft-skills and provides feedback to the Staffing Manager for performance reviews and continual improvement

    -Assists the Project Manager in managing identified risks and issues

    -Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues



    -Strong hands-on technical experience with Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business

    -Demonstrated knowledge of identity, authentication, security, privacy, and compliance topics with regards to cloud and hybrid productivity solution

    -Enterprise-scale experience with cloud & hybrid infrastructures, heterogeneous client OS & device environments.

    -Current Microsoft MCSE

    -BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar, or 6+ years relevant experience

    -Leadership experience on major transformation projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams

    -Prior work experience in a global Consulting/Architecture position within a software and/or services company.

    -Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills



    -Hands-on technical experience installing, configuring or managing Quest Software management tools in a production environment

    -Hands-on technical experience with competitor products

    -Experiencing implementing or managing a Microsoft ESAE Active Directory environment


    Utilization expectations:

    -Billable: 80%

    -Non-billable business development: 20%

    -Extensive travel required (75% or more, depending on project requirements)
