    Software Sales Engineer -II 

    Sales Engineering- Data Protection + KACE solutions- North India, Nepal & Bangladesh.

    Location: Delhi

    Level:-IH level


    Job Summary

    Provides pre-sales technical support to field sales software teams during the software sales process.

    Accountable for the technical validity of the software solution and the direct relationship with the customers’

    Strategic business plans.


    Required Skills:

    • Anticipates how market and competitive factors will influence the selling of Quest products and services.
    • Long-term vision of business/technology direction for Quest.
    • Advises customers/Quest on strategic business and technology plans.
    • Recognized internally and externally as a thought leader on the industry, the Quest business model and competitors.
    • Effectively exercises power and influences key decisions for the benefit of Quest and the customer.
    • Works effectively with functional leaders throughout the organization.
    • Preferable knowledge of Quest solution on Data Protection & KACE solution or similar products.
    • Solution Architecting skills will be added advantage.
    • Good Knowledge of competition & relationship with large System Integrators  will be added advantage.


    Guided by business plans and strategy.  

    • Executes goals and strategy within sales area.
    • Contributes to strategic decisions.
    • Initiates new or revised sales procedures, programs and initiatives.
    • Assesses and determines priorities within sales area.
    • Structures and implements sales plans within the context of established strategy.
    • Models effective team leadership.




    Principal Accountabilities


    This position defines the overall Quest software solution for the customer and makes presentations on all aspects of

    Company software products and services.

    • Supports the sales staff in assessing potential application of company software products and services to meet customer needs.

    • Prepares detailed product specifications for the purpose of selling the Quest Software’s software solutions and services.

    • Conducts software customer needs analysis.

    • Provides project scoping.

    • Coordinates internal specialists and inter-department activities.

    • Supports sellers in creating demand for software solutions.

    • Requires a high degree of technical competency to respond to customer needs and to discuss product capabilities and applications with technical users/buyers.

    • Customarily and regularly engaged at client facilities and delivers high impact presentations leveraging strong technical skills.

    Regions to be covered North India, Nepal & Bangladesh.





    Degree in Engineering / Computer Science/ MCA   with 10 to 12+ years’ relevant experience
