  • Overview

    We are looking for a Senior Product Owner for our newest database performance monitoring product. This position will report to the Director of User Experience in the Information Management business unit. The Product Owner will work closely with product managers, UX designers and researchers, technical architects, engineering, marketing, sales, support, and other business leaders to define the product’s strategic vision and then make tactical decisions to keep the team narrowly focused on execution and priorities. The Product Owner will constantly seek out qualitative and quantitative data, define metrics, and work with Engineering and Product Management to ensure that the right metrics are gathered. Using this data, the Product owner will drive customer-focused decisions, ensuring that our product is high-quality, meets strategic objectives, and consistently delights our customers.

    Responsibilities

    • Become the expert on the end-to-end customer experience of the product
    • Oversee the writing of user stories and acceptance criteria and critically examine work delivered
    • Prioritize UX and Engineering work and manage the backlog
    • Exemplify making data-informed decisions, conduct customer research, monitor and report on analytics, and drive the team to seek out data that will inform future tactical and strategic decisions, prioritizing data gathering as part of the sprint’s effort as appropriate, etc.
    • Make and communicate tactical decisions supporting the broader product strategy, always advocating for quality and customer experience

    Qualifications

    • Proven background in UX methodologies, especially the gathering of qualitative and quantitative data and related decision-making
    • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail, a risk mitigation mindset, and exceptional communication skills
    • Ability to facilitate lean and agile development processes, breaking down large solutions into small, contained chunks of work
    • Proven technical competency, ideally with experience in IT enterprise software
    • Understanding of both the technical and business side of software development
    • Experience with web-based systems, data, and analytics
