    Role Overview

    The role of a Field Sales Engineer is to drive revenue through shortening the sales cycle by overcoming technical hurdles and providing technical sales leadership during the pre-sales phase of an opportunity for customers and partners. The position requires the ability to execute product demonstrations, architect and implement test pilots; whiteboard proposed solutions and explain the integration impact of Quest products to an existing environment.  

    Responsibilities

    • Effectively present the technical benefits of the Quest solutions and show how these translate into business value to the customer and partner alike. 
    • Attend marketing events with the channel partners and Quest.
    • Work closely with Quest channel partners to present the technical benefits of the Quest solutions for them and their customers.
    • Act as a technical expert on all the components of the Quest solutions and be primary technical point of contact with the client and partner during the pre-sales phase.
    • Work closely with the territory account executive to drive customer business and support the channel partner community.
    • Administrative responsibility by providing timely status reports to managers, effective use of CRM tools and active participation in account and opportunity planning.
    • Keep abreast of new competitive products or service offerings and be able to move quickly to neutralize potential impact on Quest objectives.
    • Proactively seek to expand technical knowledge and supplement skills through the use of books, manuals, web, certified training centers and classroom training.

    Qualifications

    Requirements

    • 6+ years of relevant experience in customer facing position
    • Bachelors’ Degree or diploma in Business Informatics or similar degree
    • Travel up to 70%.
