We are now seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Consultant for Information Management BU (Database & Performance Monitoring Products) for the French markets. The position will be based out of our CORK, IRELAND or France office and require travel within the aforementioned territory.
To provide pre-sales support direct to customers and business partners in the area of Database & Performance Monitoring Products. In particular, the Pre Sales Consultant’s key mission is to work with Account Managers to serve key customers with mission critical systems, running on diverse application servers and database platforms.
-To support Quest Software’s Database Management and Performance Monitoring products
-To assist Account Managers to identify customer requirements and to participate with discussions of Quest’s value propositions
-To conduct demonstrations and product walkthrough to customers’ DBA personnel and IT Managers
-To conduct product training and knowledge transfer to customers and channel partners
-To assist customers with expertise in the areas of Oracle system performance diagnostics; database analysis; table space management and database tuning, data replication, as well as of SQL Server backup.
-To build up and maintain relationship with the technical decision maker on the customer side
-B.A./B.S. in CS/CIS or higher qualifications
-Track record in a similar position
-Monitoring knowledge in different technologies: end-user, web-servers, Java, .Net, SAP, PeopleSoft, VMware, etc
-Extensive skills and experiences with Oracle RDBMS and applications
-Excellent presentation, business, analytical, problem solving skills
-Extensive skills and experience administering Java application servers and at least one Database platform
-Demonstrated ability to successfully execute procurement activities: RFP responses, trial execution and installation
-Good knowledge with various Unix and Windows OS
-Prior presales and customer faced technical services experiences
-Language Requirement: French is required
-Good knowledge of internal Java VM architecture and how it relates to application performance. Development is a plus.
