Quest is an award-winning IT management software provider offering a broad selection of solutions that solve some of the most common and most challenging IT problems. We are currently looking for an Outside Software Sales Sr. Manager to join our team, responsible for selling Quest IM solutions in the Federal space. This role manages and leads a sales team for a given territory. Communicates, implements and executes all sales activities and strategies to maximize sales revenues in line with corporate objectives. 


  • Direct sales activities to maximize sales revenue and develop plans to ensure revenue growth of company products
  • Provides direction, development and inspiration to team members
  • Manages the hiring, staffing and maintaining of a diverse and effective workforce
  • Responsible for career development/planning, performance and pay discussions of team members
  • Manages software field sales members in the sale of the organizations software products or services to specific existing named or strategic accounts on a national/geographic basis
  • Customarily and regularly engaged at client facilities
  • Responsible for organizing cross functional teams’ engagement with accounts 
  • Provides direction and guidance for administration and results for multiple departments within a function or work area
  • Leverages the knowledge and skills of managers or teams of professionals
  • Manages multiple teams and significant assignments.
  • Establishes budgets, operational plans and performance requirements
  • Resolves operational issues
  • Develops standards around which others will operate
  • Work is guided by long-term objectives
  • Translates business plans into objectives for a department or work area
  • Exercises latitude in managing operations
  • Initiates new or revised procedures, programs, and initiatives
