Role Overview :
The Quest Software Pre-Sales Manager leads the cross-BU pre-sales team that provides technical support to the sales teams during the software sales process. Accountable for the technical validity of the software solution and the direct relationship with the customers' strategic business plan. The Quest SE team supports the sales staff in assessing potential application of company software products and services to meet customer needs. Quest Sales Engineers prepare detailed product specifications for the purpose of selling Quest Software solutions and services. Conducts software customer needs analysis, provides project scoping, coordinates internal and inter-department activities. Supports sellers in creating demand for software solutions. This role requires a high degree of technical competency to respond to customer needs and to discuss product capabilities and applications with technical users/buyers. In addition, this leadership role requires the candidate to have good senior level relationships in the market place.
