Overview

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Developer who can work across a range of technologies and interact with stakeholders/partners across Quest Software. This position will play a key role in the design, creation, development, and maintenance of Quest's enterprise data warehouse. The perfect candidate can apply a breadth of knowledge, technical skills, and strategic thinking to build a data warehouse to answer important questions across a variety of business areas. Looking for individuals that are flexible and have a strategic viewpoint and technical expertise to grow our data warehouse. This position is critical for building a strong foundation for a long-term Enterprise Data Warehouse. You need to be passionate about working with data, get a thrill from business people gaining insight based on your work, and be detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Independently design, develop, and document data warehouse databases including the data warehouse data modeling and ETL development.
  • Responsible for adhering to Agile development practices
  • Responsible for participating in the business requirements gathering process
  • Working with testers to ensure quality data results
  • Provide production support

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, and/or Business with related experience
  • 4+ years in software development
  • 3+ years in database developer roles
  • 3+ years supporting data consolidation, data acquisition, ETL, SQL IDEs and/or business intelligence solutions; Experience SSIS preferred
  • Working knowledge of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling; dimensional modeling preferred
  • Industry focus in and/or passion for nonprofit desired
  • Solid SQL, stored procedures, database triggers, views and other database manipulation languages/methods; Microsoft preferred
  • Knowledge of reporting technologies (e.g., SSRS, Jasper, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.); Hands on experience preferred
  • Strong technical problem solving skills and enthusiastic about learning new tools & technologies
  • Ability to adhere to work plans and track assignments with minimal guidance
  • Solid oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
