The primary function of the Platform Management Project Manager is to manage the scope, schedule, budget and quality of a customer engagement. The Project Manager drives and manages change, manages risks and issues and provides a focal point for all engagement related communications.


  • Responsible for communications between the delivery team and customer project team/sponsor.
  • Depending on the scope of the engagement, the Platform Management Project Manager may also serve as a change agent driving the required change leveraging industry experience that a customer may not have.
  • Work with the Platform Management Architect to translate customer requirements into a cohesive implementation and execution plan to successfully accomplish the customer’s desired objectives and represent the effort to all stakeholders.
  • Work with the Staffing Manager to assign resources to an effort and forecast when to release resources from an effort.
  • Serves as communications interface between customer and Quest delivery team.
  • Provides feedback to Platform Management Staffing Manager for performance reviews and continual improvement.
  • Reviews project activity on a daily basis with all project resources.
  • Providse daily and weekly status reporting to the customer and project team.
  • Ensures all project resources have a full work schedule to minimize idle time.
  • Seeks project risks and issues for formal management.
  • Maintains a standard Microsoft Project Plan for the engagement.


Required Skills/Certifications:

  • Proven record of successfully managing complex projects
  • Experience leading directory migrations, messaging platform migrations, or IT Security initiatives
  • Project Management certification (PMP, Agile, Etc.)
  • BS in Project Management, Information Technology, Computer Science or similar, or 12+ years relevant experience
  • Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communications skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure

Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • Experience using Quest Platform Management products in an enterprise environment
  • Additional Industry certifications (ITIL, MCSE, MCITP, CISSP, etc.)

Utilization expectations:

  • Billable: 75%
  • Non-billable business development: 25%

Extensive travel required (50% or more, depending on project requirements)
