This is a hands on management position coaching four network administrators (direct reports) and the global data/voice infrastructure network for Quest Software. This network infrastructure is the "highway" that allows Quest Software associates to accesss internal enterprise applications, Oracle, Siebel, Exchange etc in addition to voice telephone systems and externally hosted services like Sales Force, ADP, Fairsail and ITSM. Additionally support our software engineers responsible for developing Quest Software products. Responsibilities include day to day management of the infrastructure and services in addition to planning, ordering and maintaining new circuits and equipment to support business needs. As Quest Software continues to separate from Dell this position will continue to be a vital position in the success of our business and its customers.
Day to day management of four network administrators and the associated network infrastructure including but not limited to all related hardware, software and vendor/carrier relationships and agreements.
This is a hands on role and the candidate will be perfoming many of the day to day duties including managing a global network for Quest Software and be part of a 7x24 on call rotation program. This role will also be responsible for developing and maintaining technical product/vendor technology roadmaps. Some travel required.
Candidate will have 3+ years management/leadership experience and 10+ years relavent technical work experience managing and supporting all aspects of data/voice networks and managing diverse teams with a global distribution.
This is a hands on position in addition to managing a highly technical global network team. This includes the technical diagnosis, problem analysis/resolution, communication, escalation and follow up with our global community in a timely manner. Must be able to work in and manage a fast pace environment.
Requires strong network architectural design skills utilizing multiple vendor implementation. Requires technical working knowledge of routing protocols, edge security, WAN technologies, and Internet systems. Candidate must have exceptional skills in vendor relations, contract reviews, and negotiation.
Technical Project management skills including requirement definition, working with business units and vendors, scheduling meetings, providing status updates, budgets, creating and performing presentations, keeping teams/individuals on task, full documentation and post review.
Establish and modify as needed operational policies and procedures and provide guidance and technical advice.
Hardware skills background including Cisco, Dell networking, F5 LTM, WAN acceleration, and wireless networking (Formerly Meraki).
Voice systems background including Cisco Unity Connection. Cisco Call Center Enterprise, and Cisco Unified Call Manager.
