We are currently looking for a Sr. IT Business Application Implementation Specialist to support our IT Business Applications team.

 

This key role is responsible for driving successful implementation of Quest’s primary business systems.  This position will guide Quest IT’s application implementation efforts by providing system, implementation, architecture and process expertise and direction.  The implementation specialist will be expected to work collaboratively to continually improve the systems and processes we design, develop and implement for Quest employees and partners.

 

The Sr. Implementation Specialist is a cross-functional role, and will provide internal consulting to key areas of the business, and to the IT project management, business analysis, development and testing organizations.  This role will participate in implementation and improvements to business applications, and will share responsibility for assuring that each of those initiatives is of the appropriate size and scale, and fully meets the needs of our internal business customers.

 

The person selected for this position is expected to be part system/process architect, part visionary and part diplomat.  A wide-reaching understanding of Quest’s IT landscape and our various business objectives, as well as superior collaboration and communication skills, will be required.  Will be working with a variety of cross functional teams and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Be heavily involved in most aspects of system and process implementation projects and understand and be able to move easily from IT-centric to business-centric topics
  • Provide expertise to IT and various business areas regarding implementation approaches and best practices, specifically related to Quest’s business objectives
  • Apply native connectivity and out-of-box application capabilities (where feasible), ensure appropriate utilization of core systems like Salesforce.com to solve complex business needs
  • Provide approach and process guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Working closely with assigned project managers, assist in managing IT and business expectations pertaining to implementation projects and providing accountability for what is deployed
  • Provide expertise to project managers to help develop project schedules and resource allocation models for projects
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure business pains are addressed and business requirements are properly addressed in defined implementation work efforts
  • Effectively communicate across teams and business areas
  • Anticipate implementation issues and take corrective action, escalating as needed, to resolve and meet commitments

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or similar discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of software implementation consulting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a lead role
  • 5+ years of experience using and managing Salesforce.com systems and processes
  • 10+ years of industry experience in similar environment(s)
  • Energetic, motivated, and service-oriented
  • Very high level of communication and presentation capabilities, with the ability to develop trusting and open relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Deep knowledge and experience with enterprise-level business systems such as CRM, Order Management, Financials, Incentive Comp, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with enterprise-level business process analysis, design and redesign
  • Solid understanding of technical application concepts such as system integration, data migration, etc.
  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication, project management and business analysis skills
  • Experience in and understanding of different software development life cycles (waterfall, agile) and contemporary software quality assurance processes
  • Experience working with distributed/remote teams
  • Travel up to 25% may be required
