Business Development Representative (BDR) – Scotland

The individual should have a sales or technical background and keen to work in a high paced software organisation. As part of Quest you will be involved in a new software organisation who has a business unit focus, specifically on Data Protection & KACE. The successful candidate will have a key focus on Backup and Recovery of applications and data as well as the management of end point systems as part of the Quest DP & KACE Business Unit.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Call prospective B2B customers and develop business relationships (100 calls per day)
  • Provide product knowledge to prospective customers.
  • Identify and qualify leads.
  • Manage and track all sales activities in Salesforce.com
  • Provides product or BU specific expertise.
  • Responsible for identifying sales opportunities for a defined set of products and services. Data Protection, KACE, Vroom and vFoglight
  • Identifies customer needs/ requirements, and recommends the appropriate products and solutions using BANT questioning. Budget, Authority, Need, Timescales.
  • Remains up-to-date on new product, technology, and services offerings.
  • Stays current on industry and vertical solutions as well.
  • Promotes and positions key strategic product and service offerings.
  • Industry: Typically sells to Small Medium Enterprises and Mid-Market.
  • Function: Able to function in call centre environment. Transactional aptitude. May need limited project and time management skills.
  • Products and Services: Sells a broad range of software solutions.
  • Recommends business solutions considering customer needs and Quest interests.
  • Generate demand for primarily Nordics or Iberian Markets
  • Proactively call prospects to identify net new business opportunities.
  • 100 Outbound calls per day
  • Minimum of 5 New opportunities to be identified each week.
  • Work with Territory team to work and manage campaigns into existing customer base to drive new opportunity.
  • Upsell and cross sell into existing customers.
  • Engage directly with customers via telephone calls, email, social media.
  • Use Social Media to promote and encourage customer participation in Quest organised events.

Qualifications

  • Sales Experience or IT experience
  • Degree or similar qualification/experience
