The role of a PreSales Engineer is to drive revenue through shortening the sales cycle by overcoming technical hurdles and providing technical sales leadership during the pre-sales phase of an opportunity. The position requires the ability to execute product demonstrations, architect and implement proof of concepts as required; whiteboard proposed solutions and explain the integration impact of One Identity products to an existing environment.


Key responsibilities


  • Effectively present the technical benefits of the One Identity solutions and show how these translate into business value to the customer; at the customer, remotely or in marketing events.
  • Act as a technical expert on all the components of the One Identity solutions and be primary technical point of contact with the client during pre-sales phase.
  • Administrative responsibility by providing timely status reports to managers, effective use of CRM tools and active participation in account and opportunity planning.
  • Keep abreast of new competitive products or service offerings and be able to move quickly to neutralize potential impact on One Identity objectives.
  • Proactively seek to expand technical knowledge and supplement skills through the use of books, manuals, web, certified training centres and classroom training.


Qualifications and Experience


  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in customer facing position.
  • Bachelor or diploma in Business Informatics or similar degree.
  • Must be comfortable to get up and present to groups of 5 to 30 technical people potentially in a white board environment
  • Has strong Active Directory skills
  • UNIX skills considered a bonus
  • Worked with FIM/MIM desirable
  • Experience with Azure and Office 365 desirable
