Overview

At Quest Software, we build technology that simplifies IT management and strengthens cybersecurity resilience for organizations around the world.

Our people are central to our success, and we are committed to delivering an HR experience that reflects our global footprint, growth mindset, and employee-first culture.

Responsibilities

Quest Software is seeking an HR Operations Advisor, based in India, to serve as an advanced, globally connected subject-matter expert within our HR Operations function, with a strong anchor in our growing APJ population. While this role is based in India, it is global in scope and mindset — we are looking for a seasoned operator who works beyond regional boundaries, brings deep functional expertise, and helps shape how HR Operations runs enterprise-wide.

This is an advanced individual-contributor role for someone who owns the most complex work in the function. You will resolve ambiguous, high-impact cases that lack clear precedent, determine methods and procedures on new assignments, and guide the development of new policies and processes. You will act as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners and global HR Operations colleagues, mentor less-experienced team members, and be accountable through the team for tactical business outcomes — while supporting the systems that underpin our service delivery, including Dayforce and HR ServiceNow.

What You’ll Do

Advanced Operational Delivery & Complex Case Resolution

  • Own the most complex, ambiguous, and high-impact cases across the employee lifecycle — onboarding and offboarding, employee changes, data management, immigration, leaves of absence, and compliance — where solutions are not clearly defined and require in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

  • Manage escalated HR ServiceNow cases end to end, exercising independent judgment to resolve issues that fall outside standard procedure and setting the standard for quality and responsiveness.

  • Serve as an advanced regional expert for APJ while championing a “one HR Operations team” approach across all geographies.

Policy, Process & Standards Development

  • Guide the development of new policies, procedures, and repeatable processes — directing the application of existing principles and shaping how the global function operates.

  • Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and initiatives, adapting complex techniques and evaluation criteria to deliver results consistent with departmental objectives.

  • Lead standardization and automation efforts that scale across regions, partnering with HRIS, Payroll, and IT to strengthen data integrity and system workflows in Dayforce.

Trusted Advisor & Cross-Functional Influence

  • Advise HR Business Partners, managers, and global HR Operations colleagues on complex matters, adapting style and using persuasion to deliver messages that relate to the wider business.

  • Network with key contacts outside your own area of expertise — including Finance, Legal, and Payroll — to drive accurate, compliant, and aligned employee administration.

  • Act as an informal team leader: mentor and up-skill less-experienced colleagues and raise the capability of the broader team.

Global Alignment, Projects & Scaling

  • Take a leading role in HR projects and initiatives — including system changes, implementations, and vendor transitions — accountable through the team for delivery of tactical business targets.

  • Contribute to the long-term design of global HR Operations standards, documentation, and governance as the organization continues to scale.

Qualifications

Why This Role

This role is the senior operational anchor of a global HR Operations team. You will take on the work that most shapes our function — solving the hardest problems, guiding new policy and process, and advising partners across the business — while mentoring the next generation of operators and supporting the continued growth of our APJ and worldwide employee population.

We are looking for:

  • A minimum of 8 years of related HR Operations or HR Shared Services experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience.

  • Advanced, wide-ranging expertise across the HR Operations discipline, with a proven ability to resolve complex problems that lack clear precedent and to determine methods on new assignments.

  • Experience operating within a global HR function, with strong cross-regional influence across EMEA, U.S., and/or APJ, and an understanding of how HR Operations interrelates with adjacent disciplines.

  • Hands-on experience with HR systems — Dayforce and ServiceNow preferred — and exemplary data accuracy and confidentiality practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to advise others on complex matters, influence without direct authority, and mentor or informally lead team members.

  • Strong stakeholder management and persuasive communication skills in English across distributed teams and time zones.

At Quest, your work makes an impact. You’ll help organizations get AI-ready while building your career with a truly global team of high-performing, passionate innovators.
