Overview

We are currently interviewing for a Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team based in Austin, Texas. This position will be an in-office role based in our Austin, TX office located near The Domain.  Only candidates currently residing in the Austin area will be considered.

 

The VP of FP&A position will be responsible for partnering key parts of the business organization and its leaders. Reporting to President & CFO, Ashish Joshi, position is a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in building a strong financial foundation. As a finance team member in the organization, this highly visible role provides financial leadership to areas of the business driving all financial processes and providing hands-on financial and analytical support.

 

As the VP of FP&A, you will partner with the CFO and executive team to drive strategic decision-making and resource allocation through insightful analytics and operational rigor. You’ll lead a high-performing FP&A team, work cross-functionally with departments including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering, and help define the roadmap to scalable profitability.

 

Responsibilities

This is a hands-on, in-depth analysis role intended to drive data-based decisions to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. The ideal candidate will have an Enterprise SAAS background with a strong understanding of financial planning and analysis principles, experience in developing and maintaining financial models, developing near and long-term plans and strong communication skills. PE background is highly recommended. 

    • Own company-wide planning, forecasting, and long-range financial modeling to support Quest’s long-term growth and scale objectives.
    • Act as a strategic advisor to the CFO and CEO on business performance, financial risks, and investment opportunities.
    • Drive alignment of financial goals with overall company OKRs and KPIs.
    • Build models that measure and predict AI adoption, product usage, and monetization metrics.
    • Partner with stakeholders to support GTM strategies, pricing models, and capacity planning.
    • Translate financial data into clear business insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
    • Deliver executive-level dashboards, board reports, and variance analysis with a focus on strategic insights.
    • Ensure timely and accurate monthly/quarterly forecasting and reporting.
    • Build, mentor, and scale the FP&A team; establish best-in-class processes, systems, and tools and familiarity with the latest enterprise tools – Anaplan, Power BI etc.
    • Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement and data integrity.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Finance Economics or quantitative field; MBA or Masters preferred.
  • 20+ years of progressive FP&A experience in a PE backed or public company.
  • Strong background in SaaS and/or AI business models with deep knowledge of recurring revenue financials.
  • Exceptional analytical, modeling, and communication skills.
  • Strong executive presence and interpersonal skills with proficiency in distilling complex business information into consumable and actionable takeaways.
  • Systems thinker. Experience in designing and implementing new systems and tools
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly dynamic environment.
