About the Role 

Quest Software is seeking a forward-thinking Product Owner to lead the development of enterprise software solutions enhanced by AI. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and delivering intelligent product features that leverage machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics to solve complex IT challenges.  

You will work closely with engineering, data scientists, UX, and business stakeholders to ensure our products remain innovative, scalable, and customer centric. This role requires a deep understanding of both customer needs and emerging AI technologies, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into meaningful business outcomes. 

Responsibilities

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • AI Strategy & Integration 
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Data Scientists to define AI use cases that align with customer pain points and business goals. 
  • Translate AI capabilities (e.g., anomaly detection, intelligent automation, recommendation engines) into product features. 
  • Ensure ethical and responsible AI usage, including transparency, fairness, and data privacy. 
  • Backlog & Agile Execution 
  • Own and manage the product backlog with a focus on AI-enhanced features. 
  • Write clear and actionable user stories, including technical acceptance criteria for AI models and data pipelines. 
  • Lead sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives with cross-functional Agile teams. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration 
  • Act as the bridge between business, engineering, and AI teams. 
  • Gather feedback from customers, sales, support, and partners to refine AI-driven product features. 
  • Communicate product vision and roadmap, especially around AI initiatives. 
  • Data-Driven Decision Making 
  • Monitor product KPIs, model performance metrics, and user engagement. 
  • Use insights from telemetry, usage analytics, and A/B testing to inform prioritization and iteration. 
  • Customer Validation 
  • Conduct usability testing and customer interviews to validate AI features. 
  • Champion the voice of the customer in all product decisions. 

Qualifications

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field (MBA or technical degree preferred). 
  • 5+ years of experience in product ownership or product management in a software company. 
  • Experience working with AI/ML technologies or data-driven products. 
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. 
  • Familiarity with enterprise software, SaaS platforms, or IT tools. 
  • Proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, Aha!, and data visualization platforms. 
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. 

 

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) or platforms (e.g., Azure ML, AWS SageMaker). 
  • Understanding of data governance, model lifecycle management, and MLOps. 
  • Technical background or ability to understand APIs, data pipelines, and system architecture. 
  • Experience working with distributed teams across time zones.
