Quest's Software Center for Advanced AI Architecture in Cork, Ireland is seeking experienced engineers ready to take ownership of critical AI infrastructure and deployment systems. As part of our Software Center for Advanced AI Architecture, you'll independently design and implement scalable AI solutions using cutting-edge deployment technologies and cloud-native architecture. You'll have the opportunity to own complete system components, collaborate closely with data scientists to productionize models, and mentor junior engineers while continuing to expand your technical expertise. As a Mid-Level AI Engineer, you will design and implement AI-powered solutions on Microsoft Azure. You'll take ownership of specific AI system components, work independently on deployment strategies, and collaborate closely with both data scientists and senior engineers to deliver scalable, production-ready AI systems.

• Design and implement AI/ML model deployment pipelines on Azure (Azure ML, AKS, Azure Functions)
• Build scalable REST APIs and microservices for AI model serving using C#/.NET and Python
• Implement monitoring and automated retraining systems for production AI models
• Integrate AI solutions with Microsoft enterprise technologies (Entra ID, Microsoft 365)
• Optimize model inference performance and deployment costs
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to AI best practices

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with AI/ML focus
• Strong experience with Python and C#/.NET development
• Hands-on experience with Azure ML, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD
• Understanding of machine learning model deployment and MLOps practices

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Azure OpenAI and Cognitive Services
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, ARM templates)
• Experience with microservices architecture
