Overview

We are seeking a Data Services Project Manager to join our expanding team in the UK. The ideal candidate will be a key member of the Quest Professional Services Organization (PSO) with experience in delivering enterprise solutions which govern and drive the use of high value, trusted and reliable data to enterprise customers. Our product lines provide robust solutions to companies looking to better manage and take advantage of their data and IT assets.  In the role of Project Manager, you will define the strategy and execution for the delivery of our solution. You will exhibit enthusiasm for building, developing, and leading project teams. Working in this customer-facing Project Manager role you must have strong technical, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. 

The primary focus will be to plan, direct, coordinate, and lead activities of multiple projects simultaneously to ensure smooth implementation of deliverables committed to and customers’ goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and budget parameters, while effectively advocating on behalf of customers to resolve issues promptly ensuring excellent customer service.   

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for delivering customer projects on schedule and on budget. 
  • Establish overall project schedules and implementation plans, and along with management, determine necessary resource staffing for the project 
  • Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, lead internal and customer meetings, share meeting documentation and ensure rigorous follow-up
  • Become a trusted advisor to customers on Data Governance based initiatives.
  • Continually seek to improve the Services-Process within both the client and Quest..  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years experience in leading technical projects, process/resource management consulting, and/or customer relationship management.  
  • Direct experience in Data Governance solutions. 
  • Ability to manage and conduct resource requirements analysis. 
  • Ability to interface with all levels within the organization. 
  • Understanding and familiarity with project management methodologies and experience leading projects. 
  • Ability to travel up to 25%. 

Preferences 

  • Good working knowledge of Data Intelligence solutions including data catalog, data lineage and data quality automation combine with data stewardship and governance, automated data value scoring and data marketplace solutions. 
  • Demonstrated experience in leading enterprise-scale software deployments on behalf of a software Vendor. 
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously across EMEA. 
  • Prince II or PMP certification. 
  • Preferred Certifications in ITIL. 
  • Proven ability to influence others and demonstrated leadership and management skills. 
  • Software-specific working knowledge required of the following: Salesforce, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite (sophisticated user level). 
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello, Asana). 
  • Customer Success/ Support background. 
  • Professional Service Practice leadership experience. 
  • Fluent in both spoken & written English (Other European languages such as German would be useful). 
  • This person will need to reside in the UK and be able to travel across Europe.
